Best Practices

1

Export Regularly

Export your jump log regularly as a backup. Monthly or quarterly exports ensure you always have recent backups.
2

Use Appropriate Format

Choose the format that matches your needs:
  • PDF for official use or sharing
  • CSV for analysis or backup
  • JSON for technical integration
3

Verify Exports

After exporting, quickly verify the file contains expected data. Open the file and spot-check a few entries.
4

Store Backups Securely

Keep exported files in secure locations. Consider cloud storage for automatic backups and easy access.
5

Use Filters Strategically

Apply filters before exporting to create focused reports. For example, export only jumps from a specific discipline or time period.

Troubleshooting

  • Large datasets may take time to process
  • Try exporting smaller time ranges
  • Use filters to reduce data volume
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try again if the process times out
  • Check if you have jumps in the selected time range
  • Verify filters aren’t excluding all jumps
  • Ensure you’re exporting the correct content type
  • Try exporting a different time range
  • Ensure you have a PDF reader installed
  • Try downloading again
  • Check file size (very large exports may have issues)
  • Contact support if problems persist
  • Ensure you’re using a spreadsheet application (Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Check file encoding (should be UTF-8)
  • Verify file extension is .csv
  • Try opening with a text editor first to check format
