The Training module helps you manage skydiving training programs. Track student progress, manage instructor assignments, and ensure students meet all requirements for certification and advancement.

The Training module provides comprehensive training management for skydiving schools and dropzones. Manage programs like AFF (Accelerated Freefall), tandem training, and advanced courses. Track student progress and ensure compliance with training requirements.

Access Training

Navigate to SkydivingTraining from your dashboard sidebar.

See available training programs:
  • Program names
  • Student counts
  • Completion rates
  • Active students

Create Training Program

Click New Program to create a new training program.

Common skydiving training programs:
  • First Jump Course (Tandem) - Tandem jump introduction
  • AFF (Accelerated Freefall) - Accelerated freefall training
  • Static Line - Static line training method
  • IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) - IAD training
  • Advanced Courses - Advanced training programs
  • Instructor Training - Instructor certification courses

Creating Programs

Create New Program

Click New Training Program.

Enter Program Details

Provide program information:
  • Program Name - e.g., “AFF Level 1-7”
  • Description - Program overview
  • Prerequisites - Required prerequisites
  • Duration - Expected program duration
  • Certification - What certification is earned

Define Training Stages

Create program stages:
  • Stage name and number
  • Required jumps
  • Skills to demonstrate
  • Evaluation criteria
  • Prerequisites for next stage

Set Requirements

Define completion requirements:
  • Minimum jumps required
  • Skills demonstrations
  • Written exams
  • Practical evaluations
  • Other requirements

Save Program

Save the program. You can now enroll students.

Student Enrollment

Enrolling Students

Open Program

Select a training program to enroll students.

Enroll Student

Click Enroll Student or Add Student.

Select Student

Choose from organization members:
  • Search by name
  • Filter by status
  • Select student

Set Enrollment Details

Configure enrollment:
  • Start date
  • Expected completion date
  • Primary instructor (optional)
  • Notes

Complete Enrollment

Save enrollment. Student is now enrolled and can begin training.

Progress Tracking

Training Stages

Track progress through stages:
  • Stage Completion - Which stages are completed
  • Current Stage - Where student is now
  • Jumps Completed - Number of training jumps
  • Skills Demonstrated - Skills successfully shown
  • Requirements Met - Completed requirements

Record Training Session

After a training session:
  1. Open student profile
  2. Go to Training tab
  3. Click Record Training

Enter Session Details

Provide information:
  • Date - Training date
  • Type - Ground instruction, jump, evaluation
  • Stage - Training stage
  • Instructor - Who taught
  • Jump Number - If applicable
  • Performance - How student performed
  • Notes - Observations and feedback

Update Progress

Mark progress:
  • Skills demonstrated
  • Requirements met
  • Stage completion
  • Advancement eligibility

Save Record

Save training record. System updates student progress automatically.

Assigning Instructors

Assign Instructor

Assign instructor to student:
  1. Open student profile
  2. Go to Training tab
  3. Click Assign Instructor
  4. Select instructor
  5. Save assignment

View Instructor Workload

See instructor assignments:
  • Number of students
  • Training sessions scheduled
  • Workload distribution

Instructor Features

Instructors can:
  • View assigned students
  • Record training sessions
  • Update student progress
  • Provide feedback
  • Recommend advancement

Certification Tracking

Certification Requirements

Monitor certification progress:
  • Completed Requirements - What’s been met
  • Remaining Requirements - What’s still needed
  • Eligibility - Ready for certification
  • Certification Date - When certified

Issuing Certifications

  • Minimum jumps met
  • Skills demonstrated

Issue certification:
  1. Open student profile
  2. Go to Certifications
  3. Click Issue Certification
  4. Enter certification details
  5. Upload certificate (optional)
  6. Save
